Cheat River Canyon

The Dry Fork and Shaver's Fork converge near Parsons to form the Cheat.  The Cheat is the longest free-flowing river in the Eastern United States.  Near Albright in Preston County it enters a canyon that leads it to Cheat Lake near Morgantown.  This photo was taken on a rainy October day in Cooper's Rock State Forest.
