Autumn Foliage Along Gandy Creek

The autumn foliage was alive with color as I drove along Gandy Creek on a rainy October day.  The rain and overcast light intensified the colors of the forest.  I waited for the wind to calm and made this photograph.  The road along Gandy Creek can take you to Spruce Knob Lake and Spruce Knob, the highest point in West Virginia.
