New River Gorge

The New River is thought to be the oldest river in North America.  It flows northward from North Carolina and carves a gorge in West Virginia before joining the Gauley to form the Kanawha at Gauley Bridge.  The New River Gorge National Scenic River attracts many visitors searching exciting outdoor activities such as rafting and rock climbing.  This photo was made at Grandview Overlook.
